Museum of Lisbon awarded by APOM Prize 20/21

The Lisbon Museum won two awards and an honorable mention at the ceremony of the Portuguese Association of Museology (APOM), held this friday, October 29, at the Museu de Marinha, in Lisbon.

The  exhibition Lisbon's Vegetable Gardens. From the Middle Ages to the 21st century won the Best Temporary Exhibition award, ex-aequo with the exhibition The Golden Age of French Furniture, by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Curated by Daniela Araújo and Mário Nascimento, the Lisbon's Vegetable Gardens can still be visited until December 12, at the Museum of Lisbon - Pimenta Palce.

The exhibition Help us Saint Anthony! Crafts in Covid-19 time. Mário Coelho Collection, displayed at the Museum of Lisbon - Saint Anthony, between December 2020 and June 2021, was also distinguished with an honorable mention in the Partnership category. This exhibition has been traveling around the country. The collector himself, dedicated to Portuguese caftsmen, also received a special mention.

The digital programme of the Museum of Lisbon was also awarded the Online Communication Award in a pandemic time. Most of the programme is available on the Museum of Lisbon's YouTube channel.
