Ai de Mim, Ai do Eu! is the new intimate puppet show by Trupe Fandanga and intends to explore the research of an ephemeral puppet, made of clay and hands, who accidentally strips herself of her ego and haughtiness. Accidents along the way, company, fears and half-faces are some of the dilemmas of this curious character.
Clay is an extraordinary material. It allows itself to be transformed into whatever the hands that shape it want. It is, however, temperamental. The hands that give it shape are the same ones that will give it body and soul. So, a search for something to complete this character, begins. In the middle of the scenic space, which is also made of clay, there are objects that give him a new look, the smell...? It is no longer a statue, it is a being with life building its own small story.

BIO
Directed by Sandra Neves, Trupe Fandanga was founded in Porto in 2014, when the company made its first presentation in a WIP at Festival Internacional de Marionetas do Porto with the show Botequim.
The company aims to be a space for research in puppet and object construction and manipulation. Their work focuses on presenting puppets outside conventional settings, with a special interest in intimate, small-scale shows. After Botequim, the Trupe presented the micro-puppet show Onirotóptero in 2019 and in 2021, the show Qubim, presented at FIMFA Lx22.
This show is part of the programme of the 23rd edição do Festival Internacional de Marionetas e Formas Animadas that takes place in Lisbon from May 18th to June 4th, a production of the company A Tarumba - Teatro de Marionetas, with artistic direction by Luís Vieira and Rute Ribeiro.
