The history of food is a field of study that is increasingly attracting the attention of researchers. Knowing what we consume today, how we do it and realizing how these foods were adopted by man mapping the the history of mankind. Our palate has not always been the same, it has changed just as cultures change through contact with others or through simple trends.
Giving special attention to Roman culture – after all, the term “gastronomy” is due to a cook from Rome – the Museum of Lisbon - Roman Theatre has prepared a series of lectures and activities that address the theme of food in various aspects.
One lecture per month, between April 2021 and March 2022, always at 6 pm, at the Museum of Lisbon - Roman Theatre.
