A documentary about one of the most famous and mysterious archaeological sites in the world, presented by Isabella Rossellini. Director Pappi Corsicato offers a broad vision of life in Pompeii, from everyday life to the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius, presenting an inspiring city which has held a compelling cultural and artistic influence throughout history.
The screening of the film at the archaeological site of the Roman Theatre is followed by a wine tasting in honour of the Roman god Bacchus, with a privileged view of Lisbon and the Tagus River from the terrace of the Museum of Lisbon – Roman Theatre. Part of the Italian Film Festival programme, this event has the support of the Cooperativa Agrícola de Santo Isidro de Pegões.
