In the late 19th century, Lisbon underwent vast economic, social and urban change, driven in part by industrial development. Various factory structures appeared the eastern part of the city and with them the working-class neighbourhoods. This is a journey through the eastern side of the city that reveals the daily life behind these transformations in the city.
