Launch of the book «Saint Anthony by Domingos Soares Branco»

On 12 May 1982, Pope John Paul II inaugurated the statue of Saint Anthony by Domingos Soares Branco in Largo de Santo António da Sé. The Museum of Lisbon - Santo António marks the 40th anniversary of this event with the publication of a study by the art historian Paulo Almeida Fernandes, researcher at the Museum of Lisbon, about the work of the sculptor Soares Branco in Lisbon and about this emblematic statue of Santo António.
