Saint Francis of Assisi Day

Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of nature and animals, was one of Saint Anthony's main sources of inspiration. To mark the date of his death on 4 October, the Museum of Lisbon - Saint Anthony pays tribute to the genius of Assisi, over the weekend of 2 and 3 October.
These two Franciscan saints both preached to animals: one to fish, the other to birds.... One of many parallels we will highlight.
