Visit

The Museum of Lisbon offers guided tours, entertainment visits, workshops, conferences, debates and training sessions to learn more about the history and experiences of the city of Lisbon. 

Activities are aimed at the general public, families, schools, senior citizens and people with special needs.

Please note: West Tower is currently closed for renovation works.

  • 13 to 25 years old, non-resident in Lisbon: 50% (1.50 €)
  • Over 65 years old, non-resident in the Municipality of Lisbon: 15% (2,60 €)
  • Disabled persons: 15% (free admission for the companion)

Tickets

Tickets to visit our spaces or participate in our activities can be bought online at Blueticket. If preferred, you can also purchase tickets at the Museum of Lisbon's ticket offices (Pimenta Palace, Saint Anthony, Roman Theatre, Casa dos Bicos), call 217 513 200, or send an email to reservas@museudelisboa.pt to obtain detailed information about the process of buying and booking tickets.

Reduced Price Tickets

The Museum of Lisbon offers reduced price tickets and several discounts. Please check our current price list. For more information, please contact us by email at: reservas@museudelisboa.pt.

Reduced Mobility Access

The Museum of Lisbon has adapted all its buildings with ramps, lifts, wheelchairs and adapted toilets. All staff have been trained to welcome visitors with special needs. 

Portuguese Sign Language

Activities for families at the Museum of Lisbon are available with interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language with prior booking: servicoeducativo@museudelisboa.pt

The Museum of Lisbon offers a diverse and accessible set of activities and visits aimed at a wide range of audiences and available by prior booking through the email address: reservas@museudelisboa.pt 

Theatre Group Todos 

In partnership with the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Disabled Citizens (APPACDM), the Museum of Lisbon has developed a project bringing theatre to groups with special needs since 2015. Two plays have been performed as part of the project – 1383-85 and 1640 – interpreted by young people from APPACDM. 

Guided tours and Activities

1. Group visits with prior booking

The booking needs to be made at least seven consecutive days in advance. A group is eight or more visitors.

2. Visits and activities, groups with NO prior booking required

Special visits or others that take place in any part of the museum.

3. Entertainment activities

Includes all visits with entertainment, dance, theatre, etc. in any part of the museum.

4. families activities

Visits and activities/workshops designed specifically for children accompanied by adults and held at one of the Museum of Lisbon's sites or
in other locations. Materials used in these activities are provided by the Museum of Lisbon. They last approximately 90 minutes and take place on predetermined weekends.

5. Walking tours

Guided walking tours related to the history and experiences of the city and which may include a visit to one of the Museum of Lisbon's locations. Approximate duration of 2 hours. Aimed at groups of 10 to 25 participants.

6. School groups

The Museum of Lisbon also offers a programme exclusively for schools.

Venue Hire

The Museum of Lisbon - Pimenta Palace hires some rooms and gardens for events of a cultural and/or commercial nature, subject to assessment, approval and availability.
