Drawing
One of the most sizeable collections in the museum (numbering over 6,000 pieces), the Drawing Collection is also one of the most varied, documenting the urban development of the city, its people and social types, and detailed perspectives of major works (such as the now disappeared Passeio Público, where Restauradores Square and part of Liberdade Avenue are located today). The most important set includes the drawings of the reconstruction of Lisbon on a deliberately monumental scale following the 1755 Earthquake, popular Lisbon festivals and the establishment of the Lisbon City Museum at the Pimenta Palace, now Museum of Lisbon - Pimenta Palace.
