A number of recently discovered vestiges establishes the Islamic era as a major chapter in Lisbon’s urban development. The Museum of Lisbon has a room dedicated to this period, but the presence of medieval Muslim Lisbonites can be found throughout other institutions of the city today. This is a rare opportunity to get acquainted with the rich Islamic (and Mudejar) heritage in Lisbon, starting with a talk and a visit to the Islamic room in the Museum of Lisbon.
