Lisbon (1923-1925). Disorder and the siege of democracy

A discussion about the most significant political events in Lisbon during the First Republic, with special emphasis on the period during Teixeira Gomes' presidential term from October 1923 to December 1925.

The atmosphere of strong political and social instability experienced in the capital during these years resulted in radical polarisation from both left and right against the government, a harbinger of the end of the republican regime.
