Written and directed by Michel Hazanavicius, a magnificent black and white and silent movie from 2011, winner of 5 Oscars, among many other cinematographic awards.

The Artist is a romantic comedy set in Hollywood between 1927 and 1932 and centers on the story of a declining silent movie star and a rising young dancer and actress with the emergence of sound in the film industry.

Previous comment from the exhibition curator Mário Nascimento.
